We have over 30 years of experience changing lives through enterprise by supporting Big Issue magazine vendors to earn an income through selling the Big Issue magazine and we have invested £400 million into over 500 social enterprises since 2005. Today Big Issue Group brings together our media, investment and service initiatives under a shared mission to create innovative solutions through enterprise, to unlock social and economic opportunity for the 14.5m people in the UK living in poverty to earn, learn and thrive. Meeting our tech needs will ensure we can empower and enable our staff to deliver against our mission.

Lyra in Africa, a grass roots charity delivering transformative programs in rural Tanzania, believes in the power of education to help end poverty. The charity's sole focus is on ultra-poor rural communities in Tanzania where they equip girls to be agents for systemic change. They support rural schools transition from chalk board teaching to digital learning, through installing solar powered computer labs in secondary schools.

Just one Ocean's work is largely project based
and we focus on public engagement. We are currently developing apps to support
our scientific research and we need funding to do this. We also need support in
developing websites for these projects and GIS support. -

Ella’s is a London-based organisation working with women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation. We are passionate about providing the best care for as many survivors as we can. Meeting our tech needs will help us to make the most of our small staff team - ensuring that as much resource as possible goes towards supporting women. Additionally ensuring the women we support have access to good technology allows them to build community and access services effectively.

SDG17 - TechForGood Fund
TechForGood Grant Fund – In the spirit of partnerships TechForGood has decided to use SDG 17 as an opportunity to open our doors and support non-partnered peers in the Charity, Social Enterprise, NFP sector. Every time this fund reaches £500, we will open applications to apply for this tech fund, which can be used towards the acquisition of technology from TechForGood at cost price.
